75 K5 350 getting tired thinking on the crate 330HP for the replacement and run the 670cfm or 650cfm not sure on vendor for the carb app as I drive it in the snow and daily driver it's all stock no lift nice long tube hedders and Super 44's which will go on the new crate block. Any K5's out there that have installed this block? Any carb app feedback anyone has used what works for those heads daily driver or mild street...many thanks fellas

Just recently rebuilt that exact engine.

I didn drive it before, .however during the rebuild we did use a comp cam for TBI and using a BB throttle.body. its going In another members K5.
It should.be running here real.soon.

Honesty its nothing too special IMO. Just a good.combination of OK.factory parts and their cam

Thanks just wanted some feedback on that block think GM did there homework I'll keep the mild cam that comes with the base block not going mudding or racing with my K5 but wanted to jump in and drive across country if I wanted as this block is meant to do. Sounds like I'll be installing the 650cfm way more cfm's than the block can push and better gas mileage than the duel feed 670 which is a race carb app which I don't want...if I was installing it in a vette the 670cfm would be the ticket on a stock 350 HO 330HP

Many thanks

Unless you absolutly have to have that engine you could prob build the same engine

Its a simple vortec headed small block. their cam is more for a car and I would prob run.a different cam.for heavier truck

I've got that motor in my Blazer - installed by the previous owner. Mine is carb'd (factory Qjet) and runs great. It's a smooth idler which is nice in moab when that's all it essentially does for hours at a time. But my normal daily driving is done between 5,800 and 8,500 feet and the altitude kills the power. When I picked the truck up in Indiana, it felt faster than my wife's Hemi Commander. Up at altitude, not so much! Of course, that's not the engine's fault, but I can say it's way better than the stocker in my old '78 K5. That was one slow truck. I doubt you'd be disappointed.

Honestly find a reputable machine shop that will provide a warranty and have a vortec 383 built. You'll be miles ahead for the same price.

cool to know,

but you also have 410s.

so many people have 373s and higher and dont like their power, when gears would do better than the engine
