This is true, but compare the 240-260hp to the stock 350 ratings from the 70's and 80's. Plus, for a few hundred $$ more, you can get it to 300hp (Again, this probably voids the warranty)

I went to my local GM dealer to inquire about dropping in a higher HP motor in my sub, and I was informed that if you dont replace the motor with what originally came in it they give NO warranty at all. I need more power and dropping in the original factory motor isnt going to help. I did go to 3 different GM dealers in my area because I didnt believe this could be true with all the upgrade and performance stuff they have been pushing. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Sub, the warranty is a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty if you install it in something other than stock. Dont let them feed you the BS, I deal with this crap everyday at the chevy dealer I work at.
