crazy idle driving 400 miles

What in hells name is making that noise? ill be rebuilding TBI plus a whole lot of other things this week so i can drive it back to my hometown....and DAILY DRIVE MY K5!!!!!!!

IAC aka idle air control or its a lean surge which can be caused by a number of things from a bad o2 to faulty injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator you name it.

Rebuild the TBI properly and put an adjustable fuel pressure regulator in and it should be good to go.
