Creamy Power Steering Fluid.

Is from the box for sure, might be thinking about a new box, no telling what it looks like inside

Yeah... that also crossed my mind. I don't think this truck originally came with power steering it's not on SPID and it was put on later but not sure if it was ever used and what condition the steering box was in prior to being installed. Plus sitting for 20 years didn't help.

I had some water contamination in my 4500. Kept sucking out the reservoir and replacing fluid. Took a long while for it to stay clear. It doesn't take much water to make oil creamy.

Power steering setups have a high bar for accepting crap fluid.

I filtered enough out for now. It's not perfect nor clear but far less creamy in color. So Ill run it and check it over as I drive. PS steering boxes aren't cheap for some reason. It'll have to do for now.

I have ran mixtures of fluids, lots of dirty fluid, and plenty of water over the years. Very rarely have any problems other than leaking hoses.
