It occurred to me that a crew cab with a 73-75 A-pillar would look cool.......Maybe? Anyone seen something like that?

It would definitely look cool but I wouldn't do it without a lot of cage tied all over the cab BEFORE cutting it. I'm in the middle of a top chop on my K5 and my tub moves a lot just pushing & pulling by hand, I can't imagine what it would do driving down the road. I read a lot of posts talking about this prior to starting the project but you just can't grasp how flimsy the tub gets without the roof (or rocker boxes) until you experience it. I bet a 4 door truck cab without the full "B" pillar would be crazy flimsy.

Not sure what the benefit would be. Might be a cool buggy concept.

I'm going to jump to the other side of the fence and say I think it would look terrible. But, I don't really care for the full vert K5's either, though.

I have seen one I can't find pics of it but yes it was not attractive. Boring was the right word. One huge rectangular shape

There's a picture of a new Jeep JK 4dr that they turned into a truck.....the picture without the top on definitely looked stupid.

Yeah....The only way I think this would ever not look that bad is if there was no bed on it and the wheels were right under the rear. Yeah.....so lets forget this.

I am still kicking around the idea of chopping the roof off my crew cab. That was actually my original plan for it but then I started getting nostalgic about it (when I discovered its original paint color is the same as the crew cab we had when I was a kid (Nevada Gold)), so....IDK still debating. This isn't a crew cab but still gives a little bit of an idea of looks (reg cab long bed, about the same wheelbase I am thinking of chopping my crew cab down to):

I think the bed would need a little flavor like this:

So it doesn't look like it has 20 feet of bedside with seats sticking out of it.
