Have searched and found threads talking about how it looks, but none on how to do it. Surely there has to be at least one thread detailing what modifications are needed.
I have a nice CUCV M1008 frame, a nearly rust free short box, 3 sets of D60/14 axles, and a complete running 454/TH400/205 and drive shafts from a rusted out '86 K30.
Just need a rust free cab, and saw this one, http://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/3955636480.html, in the Classifieds thanks to Metrodps.
Have really been wanting a regular cab, but this got me to thinking.
There is plenty of info on how to shorten a LWB to SWB, which is what I had originally intended.

search " mtmike " he did it on a short bed frame . had to cut n section the floor under the back seat for the frame rails .

also " gone hunting " did the swap real easy on his old burban frame he took the burban body off of.

I did one kind of based offthis idea but started with a k30 crew cab truck and bobbed it way down . check my links in my sig line below " project stubby " truck not yet finished sorry .
