A buddy of a buddy built this. If you can look past the hideous wheels, I thought it was pretty sweet.

This belongs to a friend of mine. He stopped by to show me and I thought it was so cool I'd pass it along. TBI 454 TH350/203 for now. Dana 44/14 bolt.

What's up with the aftermarket roof clearance lamps?? Sweet truck but those lamps, yucky. That's just me though.

Edit: my bad, didn't read that it has a D44, meaning 3/4 ton = no roof lights.

Those look like late model GM lights. They look ok, but yeah the original 5 are way better looking.

Not all one-tons have clearance lights. alot of 2-wheel one tons dont have lights

Stop posting pics of shortbox crewcabs!!! My wife is already pissed that I am buying a Blazer and I still have a Suburban that is not finished yet. You guys are not helping by showing pics of really nice clean crewcabs........ Maybe if I sold my......

Nice rig got any more pics????

If your going to get in trouble get in deep!!!!!!!!!! Going to get told off the same amount anyway. Might as well enjoy it while you can.

Its a buddys. The lights were on there when he got it. Was a 78? 3/4 ton 4x4 crew lwb. He was shortened the frame and was finishing the 400sbc and the cab when he found a 90 c3500 drw silverado for $500. Decided to use the cab and 454tbi out of the 90 the rest is 78. combo is 454/350/203/44/14ff. Has a nice blazer He wheels but his is for him the wife and the 3 kids. I am getting the 78 cab and putting it on my 79 reg cab lwb frame.

Yeah, he's been building that for years and has wanted one even longer. He's not hurting for money, so I imagine it will be a long, long time before it's for sale.

In the words of Red Foreman,"dumbass!"

:doah:Guess I left myself open for it. But seriously what is the technical paint store type of color.

I have no idea. Ask fmstruck, it is his buddy "Lamont's" truck.

So how do you build one of those? Is the original frame just cut short and the spring hangers moved forward? I was thinking something like that would be awesome for pulling a 5th wheel.

its a cut down crew lwb frame. I am going to build one on a std lwb frame and have a short short box.

You should ask the owner how it tows, it has a hitch in the bed. Super clean rig, I was thinking it`d be a great tow rig also.
