Should I use Rod ends or tie rod ends? what are the benifits of each or the non benifits?

ok fixed my noobness and did another search and found some info rod ends work if the are double shear so it becomes a money issue.

TRE's have more angularity than a heim joint. Also heim joints should not be used for street use as they wear quickly and will need frequent replacement if used for street driving.

Yeah I was thinking that no way to grease them and stuff and with mud and snow and dirt they probably do wear rather fast

TRE's are meant to be mounted in single shear, SRE's (hiems) are meant to be mounted in double shear.

Heims will oval out the hole in the knuckle, TRE's fit perfectly into the factory taper on the knuckle and will last a very long time.

Heims wear out quicker than TRE's.

IMO there really isn't a question on which way to go :deal:

I was thinking to use a double shear mount made by some one who isn't a vender here so i won't mention there name, but after thinking about it i'm goint to get the TRE set up.
