I finished making my tranny cross member and bolted it up to the tranny mount. The part that bolts under the frame rail has a small gap on the rear of both sides. This is because the mounting feet are tilted back. I put a angle finder on the carburetor and it's sitting at about 4 degrees to the rear. I have ORD poly bushings for the cross member. I also have an Atlas support ring on the back of the Atlas. So three mounting points...
My question is if I snug the cross member up to the frame will the bushings flex enough to be okay or will this cause problems?.. like putting things in a bind with the atlas support ring or bending the mounting bolts. The gap is about 1/4". Here are pics.
I think it will be alright but I'm learning everything I do by trial and error. In this case the error would probably be a broken mount or tranny housing so I figured I'd ask first.
