cross-tie shackles +homebrew flip

I have all necessary materials to build my own cross-tie shackles,but can I use them with the home-brew style flip? The one using the front rear spring hanger.

Also,does anyone have measurements for DIY's cross-tie shackles? end-to-end, eye-to-eye, and inside/outside measurements,and width of shackle sides.

I'm thinkin you will need a bushing in one end of the shackle to use it with the homebrew flip.
