Look at the pics please  There are two questions :D

*Is my draglink far enough away from my leaf springs? Or will this cause problems. Currently there is no weight on the leafs.

Is this bolt ok or should I get something longer? These are the leaf spring eye bolts I got from a member who got them from ORD. Not sure if they belong some other place, just weird they are so short. :dunno:

The draglink should be fine. The spring eye bolt as long as the bolt protrudes beyond the pinch lock of the nut you're fine (looks like it does).

Somewhere on here I read that using zero rates may make clearance issues with crossoversteering. You will have to twist it up and see.:waytogo:

Those ORD bolts are probably for the rear-application 52s/56s that a lot of use run in the front...the stock fronts are 3" wide so the stock brackets you have are probably wider that what ORD was selling those bolts for. As said though, it's probably fine. Just check them in a little while like you're supposed to anyway. If they keep coming loose, obviously they're not gonna be OK.

I don't think my draglink has much more clearance than yours and it's never been an issue, even when very crossed up. I think it's mostly if you have a really arched leaf spring and a really long steering arm. Most flatter springs won't arch enough under droop to pose much issue. With your shackle angle, I doubt you'll have enough droop to close the gap anyway, unless you're planning on moving the frame eye forward.

Wouldn't hurt to have a side-profile picture from above the hub, it's kinda hard to see how far forward over the spring the DL is.

I checked the draglink, finally. It hits pretty good on full left turn. I haven't driven it yet, but can already see it binding up. The zero rates are a double edge sword. They give me room to run the larger tierod, but screws up clearance for the draglink.

I also need to cut the draglink down 1 1/8 inches. I have too much length to get the steering wheel straight and the tires too match, so one way is full turn and the other is not. I can also run the draglink upside down, since I don't have a stock crossmember to worry about. I will need to get it twisted up however to check for draglink-to-harmonic balancer clearance :haha:
