I was at the junkyard and saw on of those old jeep trucks, j10 or something. And I think it had a d44 or something close. It was a pretty simple setup, would it work on a chevy truck? Like a direct swap with the tie rod, and the crossover arm and what not. Or is there way more involved like I'm guessing there is?

Sort of, Fords used it too. It will make for a steep DL angle with any lift at all. I know a guy here localy who did it a few years ago and did not like it But he did keep it like that, so I guess it wasn't too bad.

I wouldn't do it.
