Crossover steering question?

I have a 72' K5. It has a 3" suspension and a 3" body lift. The body lift was on it when I got it to provide clearance for the engine. It has a 350 out of a 98 Suburban. I will be running 35's. The rig will be mainly for the street since the body is mint solid. Will there be benefits of the crossover steering since this is mainly an onroad truck? I have had early Broncos in the past and I don't have much experience with this style steering. I have a Dana 44 up front. Thanks

Crossover help more when navigating rough terrain or if you are running bigger tires and have problems with bump steer.

Also, why would you need a 3" body lift for a small block?

The guy I gought it from put it on. It needed the clearance for the Vortec box on top of the engine.

About the only benefit i can see for a street driven rig is that you'll have a better turning radius. Is it worth the cost to gain better turning radius (probably not).
