so i just finished installing a new psc steering box, bolt in brace kit, ord crossover, and some alcan front springs. when i have the truck idling in the drive and turn the steering wheel right, the passenger side of the truck lifts up a bit, turn left and the driver side dips down. is this normal?

its camber of the wheel I think my truck does the same thing it does not move much just enough to see each side dip.

yeah it seemed like the torque of the steering box was either pushing the truck up or pulling it down depending on which way i turned. it only dips like an inch or two and i didn't notice it when the truck was moving

Aifink it's more about the offset of your wheels, i.e. if they aren't turning on the same axis as the knuckle. When you're moving the tire scrub isn't so obvious.

Anyway, mine does that; it's not so much torque as it is geometry. Mrs Simms from 7th grade would be proud of me, but then would get angry because I can't remember the details :haha:

That and your front springs may well be softer than your previous ones.

haha, yeah i thought about the springs too (and man are they soft). good to know others trucks do the same. my first thought when i saw it was something had to be binding up somewhere but everything was smooth as silk with the tires off the ground
