The link you have there (the $229 thing) is only for the draglink and tie rod and the ends for both.

You would still need a steering arm, pitman arm, 2WD sector shaft, etc.
 
It seems like it just needs the 2wd sector shaft/ steering box and a correct pitman arm. It appears to bypass the steering arm commonly found bolted above the kingpin joint and uses a linkage setup similar to the factory jeep/ford superdutys steering linkage. The tie rod attaches where it would as factory but if you notice in the picture, there is a tre that is longer than the others with a tapered hole just before the threads which would bolt to the passenger side of the tie rod and allow the drag link to connect to he pitman arm.

The cons I see with this setup are going to be the operating angle depending upon lift and clearance with the engine x-member and the fact that 3 of 4 steering attachment points are low and vulnerable to damage.

You're correct, the OP's statement was a little confusing :doah:

In any case, the Y-type steering (Jeeps, Fords, this kit) isn't all that good. Its somewhere in between the stock Chevy steering (:angry1:) and real crossover steering (:pimp:).


Having the draglink connect to the knuckle (and having the draglink be a foot longer) is well worth the extra $150.
 
Also to add to what was said, it will probably not work with a spring over set up like on a GM. Jeeps are spring under stock or coil springs and it will not hit the springs like it would on a spring over set up.
