Crown King

Has anyone run the trail to Crown King lately? I ran it about two years ago, has it gotten worse? It wasn't real hard, but it is long and I ran it in the rain so it was more difficult. It took me 6 hrs. in the mud, but there was one break down, and I got stuck behind a crew of about 12 trucks. thank's

No, it's easier. Due to all the rock stacking etc. and not returning things to the way you found it. Never go on the weekend, unless you like geting stuck behind 15,067,390,850,853 vehicles

But its good at the end of a 6 hr trip, no to mension the three bars, but I'm to young to drink.

Yea the treil isnt hard. My buddy can do the trail in his jeep, and he has storck tires on it. Just takes a little throttle in a stock jeep.

The day I wheeled it a stock jeep made it down the trail, but another one coming up didn't. This guy was trying to go up the big rock section about a 1/3 of the way in. He almost rolled his jeep several times, once he almost went over backwards. His wife was questioning his manhood, and it didn't help that he was a Marine. He finally gave up and took the bypass. Later about 5 miles from the end were the road goes threw the creek bed and cuts up the hill he high centered himself on the rock ledge before the creek. I never saw any of the ten or so trucks with him make it to Crown King that day. I don't think some of them in that group would have made it anyway. To many stockers.

Its funny watching a stock jeep go through there. My buddy has been wheeling for a long time, so he got use to it. But the other guys you see out there think stock jeeps are the greatest vehicle known to man. Its funny when you show them up in a full size. It was especially fun when my Jimmy was stock.

I had a 2.5 inch lift &amp; 32's, and my buddy's 94 bronco was stock with 32's. The one guy was trying some hardcore line in a stock jeep with 30-31's maybe, and no traction devices. I'll give him credit for trying, but the one rock section with the bypass would have been hard to a jeep with a lift and lockers. Not to mention it was raining and muddy. Every man should know his limits.

I fell the same way about the jeep issue. I have a couple of buddies that have jeeps that love Blazers and Jimmys, but got the Jeeps because they got them for a great deal. We always go out wheeling together. On the other hand you meet those guys who only think jeeps should be out on the trail. BTW nice Blazer.
