My mother is making good progress so I will be installing factory cruise control on my 87 in a few weeks and need pics. The areas I need are where the wires go through the fire wall near fuse block. The area where the brake light switch mounts and how the wires run on out side of fire wall.

I have the rough idea of how it goes just want to be correct before I drill the hole for harness. The guy I bought it from lost the lever so I will have to go dig one up. :(

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I need the spot where the harness goes through the fire wall. Then the brake light switch mounting area under dash. I have all my service and the parts books from GM but need to be sure before I drill a hole.

Anyone else? I would like to get this done this week while my sister is here. After that I am stuck inside all the day with my mother while father at doctors.

Thanks

glad to hear about your Mother Lawrence.:D you have cruise control on your bike also, don't you? :haha:

there should be an indention just below the fusebox. it about 1-1/4" in diameter. you can see it on the underhood side the best. will get a picture tomorrow if you still need it. I put cruise in my '85 using stock parts. will get pics of the underside of the dash too if you still need them.

Yea thats where I thought it went did you drill yours? And yes the pics would help a lot I am a numb fruck at times!

just matched the indent with a hole saw. lots of soap to make the rubber grommet go in to place. pm your email to me, easier to send photos that way.

I can get a picture of the firewall too if you still need it...I don't have insulation there anymore, which might make it easier to see. Wire routing won't help you any (although I've got the dash out) as I couldn't get my wiring to route as cleanly as GM's.

Since I've got TPI, the rest of the routing won't help either.

Now if I can just figure out how to get the thing to WORK, I'll be good to go. :)

hey my bad dude about getting back to you. ive been loaded down with a LOT of things to do and work has been crazy. if you still need the pic, PM me

Well ran into a problem the guy didn't send me all the parts for it and says he junked the truck. I now have to track down the stud that goes on to the throttle link thingy. I need to find out how to get 13, 15 and 16 to get it to work. GM parts direct says unavailable.

#13 is just a clip/retainer, it's the other parts you might have problems with:D

If I can find the parts I'll take pics.:o
