Today while I was charging up my AC after the new compressor went on, I noticed that the small rod/linkage that goes from the throttle to the (I think) vacuum pot, Is that what it's called? Its the metal round thing on the back of the intake manifold that has the rubber front and a bracket on it for said linkage to hook too. Anyway, the eyelit that the rod hooks into is broken. Its like a U instead of a O, so it won't hold the linkage in place. I believe this is why my cruise is not working at the moment. So what vehicles have that same vacuum pot and bracket that holds the rod? Obviously square bodies but they are a rarity at my local part yard. Does an 88-95 GM pickup have this? Anything else? Or better yet, can you buy just the small bracket that holds the rod? Any quick fix ideas for this just to verify that it is in fact the problem before I toss $$ at it?
