Cruising up the CA coast next week

The wife and I will be heading up the coast next week. We'll spend 1.5 days camping near San Simeon, then heading up Hwy 1 all the way to Bodega Bay. I love the road along central CA, but have never driven north on Santa Cruz on it. Looking forward to seeing half moon bay (Mavericks, etc.), anything else up there we shouldn't miss?

Santa Cruz beach boardwalk is pretty cool. THey have a nice beach.

What will you be driving ? I assume your taking the 1 ?

How about the Pismo Dunes ? Its always cool to drive on the beach, or rent quads and go out for a ride. I can get you more info on this is you like. TORI

I'll be driving either my truck or the rental truck (got hit the other day). We are taking HWY 1 the whole way up, but won't have time to stop in Pismo, except for maybe lunch. Leaving early tomorrow. Guess there'll be plenty of new posts to look at when I get back next week.
