CRAFTSMAN WARRANTY I stopped by the local sears the Other day to inquire on warranty issues that have been rumored as of late (not just here but all my buddies also) the Department manager told me that Warranty has not changed for MOST of there hand tools it's still a 1for1 swap He said what has Changed is Claw hammers and Tape measures are now longer covered In fact he said they Would no longer sell Claw hammers . so for all you guys thinking your craftsmen tools are no longer covered that rumor is false

okay , this guy told me that my tourqe wrench would be covered???? maybe beacause I bought years ago???

well he could have lied to me I was buying somedrawer organizers at the time and some gear wrenches he may have just been feeding me some Bull

Tis true--most of the wooden hammers are not lifetime (i actually have to give you your money back and you can buy whateveh hammer you want), the red tape measures (only the spring, lock and tip are covered) anything to do with the tape itself it will not be covered. older torque wrenches will be covered but will be replaced but with a 1 year wrench.

Which Sears do you work at??? Ciela Vista or Sunland park ??

I took back my old framing hammer yesterday after the money back they gave me a nice new Vaughn Cali Framer for $1.79. Should last me forever since I no longer frame for a living...

I wonder if they'll take back our ratchets?
