So i scored some cts-v seats for $200 and installed the drivers seat in my blazer today. I was able to get the drivers seal module working for the seat motors easy enough. I cant seem to figure out the seat heaters. The heater has its own module that just needs to be powered my problem is that the on off signal is sent through the data bus. Im hoping that someone is smarter than me and can tell me how to send the right signal. according to shopkey it sends a 35 millisecond pulse.

Ahhhhhh sheeeeeeiiiit

That's pretty awesome. I might need me some of those.

And who needs seat heaters?

Yea i had a 2005 cts-v for about 4 years I sold it just after I bought my blazer. I have been tryn to find these dam seats for almost a year. Now if i could find a smokin deal on ls6 or ls2 id be all V'd up. On a side note I miss my car but i bought my ez efi when i sold it to ease the pain

Yea I wish they did I built a cross bar for the front and the right rear i welded on a bolt and dropped if through the seatbelt bolt hole. It took me a while only cauz I'm a sh!tty fab guy takes me a while to get stuff right.

Those seats look great! I would love some leather seats in my K5 just to make the cleanup a bit easier

The v series sits got suede inserts so there nice in the winter and you don't slide around on the b!aches

how the hell did you get a pair of seats like that for $200? Used newer body style truck seats go for at least $400 on ebay.

I spend a lot of money with them so I get a good hookup when its for personal stuff. And I hate eBay the only seats I found on there had burns and tears for like 600. plus I've had this guy check his yards for seats probably a thousand times over the last year he was Prolly just glad to get me off his back.

I've got a complete set of tan front and back for my 71. I the floor was shot when I got the blazer so I cut the wheelwells to let me set the back seat in and keep it low. The tub is off the frame now just waiting on some more cancer repair.

got any pics of how you got the rear seatup. I can also get those for the rear.

I can tell you that I tried Dakota Digital's custom shop about a stand alone controller for the heat and ventilation in my '08 STS seats and they responded with " While that is something feasable, we don't build such a device". Their website showed "factory option retention". We discovered that the seats have thermistors to keep temps to set levels so as to provide faster warm-up but keep from cooking stuff! The vent fans ,(if yours have them) are operated with a power pulsing method to a specific percentage of on time. I haven't tried hooking power to the inputs to experiment though. It would be awesome if someone could help!!!

When I had my cts-v I bought a controller that sent and received signals on the purple data bus wire for my remote start I installed. I think I need to look that company again cauz I know when the ambient temp was under 40 it automatically turned the seat heaters on when I started my car. I'll keep you in mind when I talk to them.

Get the heaters working then.....then side airbags.

If that's what I'm seeing in one of the pics.
Some side curtian air bags would be awsome. Im sure that the 1st time i smack my frame on a rock that thing would deploy and save my life.

I will try to post some pics this weekend. I droped the floor to make it even with the cab floor. With the hump in the frame you have to lift the body 3 inches to make this work. Also I cut the wheel wells and took 2 inches out of the front of the wells. You may rub in hard offroading. I don't plan to see gravel let alone dirt when I get done.
