Voltage gauge in my M1009 started pegging this morning, so I got her home quick. Looks like *both* alternators are overcharging, ~14.5V on each battery with a good DVM.
Batteries are both new last year, nice ones, so I don't want to fry them!
Seems odd to me that the regulators in both would pop at once. In a brief check, the wiring looked okay, both + and - sides, etc.
So I'll see if I can get them checked/rebuilt locally, as I doubt even my good parts place can get these goofballs.
Alternately (as it were), there was somebody here who parts CUCV's... I got some stuff from him way back when, but I can't remember ... mud-something, mud-dog-number ... anybody know?
