ok another newbie question. are the spring perches on a set of cucv l tons the same width and apart as a k5s springs. i guess what im askin is if they will just bolt up and go?

IIRC the front yes, but the u bolts and spring plates are different (if we are talking about a d60) the rear I believe you will need to move the spring pads. :D

thats what i was affraid of bout the rears. ill probably just end up swapin the gears and locker outa the cucv axle into the 14bolt thats already under my k5. i knew that i was gona have to get bigger ubolts and spring plates for the front.

Personally I think moving the spring perches would be easier than swapping gears.
(if you have a welder)

i found a 74 14 bolt and swapped my 84 cucv 14 bolt guts into it, it was easy to set up and worked out good, and make it easy on urself and do disk brakes. for the u bolt plates almost any spring shop or auto parts store can get em for a reasonable price....like was said you already have a 14 b in there...id just swap it too. the d60 bolts right, just need new u bolts....

see that was my problem i aint got no welder, but i do got a buddy that knows how to set the gears up so if i can work if out so i can buy them axles ill probably just end up swapin the gut from the cucv axle into the 14bolt i already am runnin
