I found these two m1008 at a native tribe shop. I live in alaska so that explains the native tribe, it's kind of government, but not. I went and asked the guy if they sold any of the vehicles ever, he said they use to sell them, but haven't been. I asked if he COULD sell them, and he said he was in the process of asking "big brother" if he could sell them, but he said that coule be like 2-3 months, and definitely not on his priority list. I really want a cucv, should i wait around for these? I would love to buy both of them, keep one and take the axles out of the other. If i should buy one, or two, what should i offer him? He says he wants them gone. Should i keep bugging him unntil he pays me to take them away?

Its been a month since the original post. What happened?

They are still there, i have gone over there and he still says he can't sell them yet, but i will not give up until ONE of them is mine, can't let these go to waste!! I looked through the yard and he has like four of them and some other military trucks, has one m1009 thats blue. What should i offer him for one? I found a dana 60 for my truck so i wouldn't need another parts truck, just a good truck to make my daily driver while i tear apart my short bed.

Thats my opinion. Two pockets full.......he doesn't like your offer, you don't have any more money......he still doesn't like........Oh look I found some more in my other pocket.

Yeah, i have to wait a couple more weeks to save up the money, but i will save more than enough then go ask him with a handful of cash

bring a buddy with $200 in his pocket. If the guy doesnt accept 800, then ask your buddy to borrow some money... and your buddy can be like "ok, I guess"..

Alright, i went there with some cash and asked around. The guy i talked to pretty much said that they are still waiting to figure out the paper work. He said that in the past they've sold them, didn't advertise just let people take whatever each for $500! He said the m1008's may not have engines. He said to just keep checking to see what happens with the papers and gave me a card. They really want them gone, but they are pushin paperwork around.
