im buying a m1008 6.2 with 4.56s gears, detroit rear welded front. ive got 60/14 that i rebuilt, 5.13s, disc rear, detroits in both. would you swap in the 5.13 axles? thats what im leaning towards since ive spent so much money on them and dont really wana part with them (they only have 1500 miles since i rebuilt them), but i wanna see what people say. keep in mind im going to be swapping in a tranny with overdrive. 5.13s, overdrive and 42's. what do you think?

you got some built axles in the garage why not use them? the stock cucv axles are still valuable aswell and might be easier to sell then some built axles for a higher price

No brainer. Get nekkid, put the 513's under it, sell the other 60/14 combo and use the money toward completing the project. If the neighbors haven't called the police at that point, do a nekkid victory lap around the neighborhood once the swap is complete.

i think the neighbors will be freaking out enough as it is with the camo:haha: too bad for them

For the victory lap make sure the doors are off... This way everyone gets a good look.:D

What is it with all the stuff about neighbors being scared or pissed off because a rig is painted camo...anyone care to explain this one to me?

Since you have alot into the ones with 5.13s i am sure. why not take the time and swap them in. sell the stock axles

its ok, i found a lead on a truck, im checking it out this weekend. for highway 4.56s are going to be much better. i sold the 5.13 axles for $3k, and the new truck costs $3k so its perfect? ;) highway rpms with 4.56 and overdrive will be at 1850, which is best mpg for the 6.2.

I've got 5.13's w/42's, no OD. According to GPS around 60 the 6.2 starts SCREAMIN
