CUCV glow plugs?

Hey guys,

I was thinking about replacing glow plugs on my CUCV and know that they are a different type than what is in the civilian models because of the 24 volt setup.

My question is, once switching over to the 12 volt system, is it possible to use the standard glow plugs?

I know when converting the 24v system, there is some wiring that is redone at the controller, I just want to know if the above question is possible.

Dean-
Go ahead and put what ever glow plug you wanted to in it, the glow system on the CUCV is 12 volt. When you convert over to 12 volt you are bypassing the resistor, so thats why you have to rewire it. I ran some 60'gs in my truck before i switched a 12v system no problems at all.
