I had recently seen in a post that the CUCV Mil. Blazer had a gas can mount INSIDE the back left corner. This was the first time Id seen that. Does anyone know where I could get a couple of these? Ive never seen them online at any of the surplus sites I go to.

Thanks in advance.

Well, the mount proper is your basic Blitz metal carrier, nothing special.

There is, underneath it, a short 'table', if you will, which is welded to the floor, IIRC. Had some nice 1/4" or 5/16" threaded inserts, but would be easily fabbed with sheet, or square tube, or whatever.

I'd imagine you don't see them surplus 'cuz they're welded in.

Ah makes sense. Thanks for the pics, That would be easy to fab up.

Jep, that was my thought. It's not bad placement, there in the space behind wheel well, but it is stinky as all getout unless you have them newfangled leak-proof jerries

And there's a reason I said "pic whore" in my description =))

LoL.yeah I like pics.

Ive been carrying NATO Jerry cans in my truck for over 2 years now. They dont leak or have any fumes, they are air/water tight. Ive knocked them over b4 and they dont leak. So, I dont have any issues with them inside. Obviously be best if they were outside, but I carry alot sometimes.
