Who is running CUCV rear shackles and a trailer hitch, whether factory or aftermarket. I was told on here that you can't run both without fabricating different mounts and was wonder who runs both and what they did. :waytogo:

I'm looking to put CUCV shackles on the rear of my suburban and have the factory hitch still, if I needed to buy a different manufacturers hitch I wanted to look into that. Wasn't planning on swapping the rear bumper to the CUCV and ditching my mount to swap that pintle one on. Not to mention the hitch height would go up probably 6"

MY friend had a issue with his M1028 so he welded a hitch to the bottom of the bumper and reinforced it with more metal over the stock cucv parts.

So no one on here has used the rear shackles onto their stock surburban and can give me any info on what hitch it took to clear without cutting/fabbing the stocker? Not looking to use the CUCV bumper and its hitch that is built in

I'm interested as well, although I plan on running a hitch, cucv shackles and probably cutting up a hummer rear bumper to fit.
