Is there a way to find the history on a CUCV? I finally got blazer here from Idaho! It’s in pretty good shape. Was curious is there was a way to see where it was in service at? Any such thing as a military CARFAX report? lol.

I am sure there's a service history.
Whether it's accessible to the public is another question

Does it still have the SPID in the glovebox? Mine shows that it was ordered in Air Force trim which I thought was kind of cool.

I have had a bunch of military trucks. If the bumper markings are still original, it should clue you into the unit it came from. A lot of equipment went to the national guard before it was finally sold as surplus. I had some trucks where the unit was blacked out but the spray paint was of poor quality and either faded out or could be removed with solvent showing a bit of info. Lots of people put their own markings on during paint jobs so it can be hard to tell for sure if you didn't get the truck from the government.
There used to be a guy on Steel Soldiers that had a ton of info on where different trucks came from but its been years since I was active on that site. You could search around a bit over there. I believe that forum sold a while back, it wasn't the same last time I logged in, didn't seem as active as it was years ago.

Yours came from FT Lewis (I suspect it was used for MP duty), sold to someone in Longview, then Portland, then I bought it, then you.
I do remember you telling me that! I was trying to give the OP a clue on their rig.

These are the numbers on it. I saw the post on steel soldiers where the guy would look them up for people but that was years ago.

You can do a freedom of information request on it.

Might turn up a bunch. Might turn up nothing.

A guy on a gun forum I read did one on the M1 Garand rifle he bought from the CMP.
It showed it being built and shipped to the army in WWII and the CMP taking possession of it from Turkey in the late 2010’s. That was it.

I wish I could find info on my 82, its a civilian truck but was used at the Phoenix Air Force base until about 1990, it's a Janesville truck.
