Cucv

Not sure if there is any. Not sure if you have been told about steelsoilders.com yet. They have some good info. This for your BOV?

Been on steelsoldiers. Most of those guys seem to be all about keeping them stock. I'm planning on upgrades. Yep BOV in progress

I am thinking, does a BOV need to be registered?
When the SHTF who is going to worry about registration?
So I guess I will build a BOV from scratch, I don't need a vehicle to start, it will be a closed buggy and I could register it OFF ROAD vehicle so It is legal now.

I guess the registration would be a problem depending on where u live. I know it pretty much depends on ur local laws. Here if u hav a vehicle parked in ur driveway It has to be registered. Then u can get into trouble with ur homeowners laws in ur neighborhood too. Unless ur just gona leave it in the garage the whole time.

You might need to at least register it for shake down runs to work out the kinks.

Well I can run it in my neigborhood using a plate from another truck for shake down runs, and as for storing it I have RV access with room for 3-4 cars, that is not a problem, and when the SHTF then no one is going to check anything and I can go anywhere with it, but in the mean time it would be a good idea to have is Green stickered, that way I can take it on trails.

What's the differences between 84 and 86 m1009
Shouldn't be anything much. They pretty much built them the same way the whole 3-4 years they were made so the military only got one setup for each model truck.

An example/proof would be the washer jug... same in '86CUCV as '76 to '84 pickup. Everything I've found is that way...

Yep.
A-When Private Jones needs to replace the washer jug he doesn't have to figure out which year that specific CUCV is.

B-GM got rid of a WHOLE bunch of their surplus parts for that era. Ever notice it's damn hard to find a NOS 83-84 Chevy grill?
