Anyone know the latest on the 6.7L delete kits?

I have a 2012 I bought new, the emissions systems sucks, I was going to get a delete kit early last year, but it seems they outlawed them, at least the ones that did everything, computer flash, delete DPF, delete EGR.

I can find the hardware parts for deleting the EGR, and of course you can just remove the DPF, but without doing something to the ECM, it just won't run. it's really too bad, these are great engines choked up with a stupid emissions system, 1972 all over again for diesels.
The justice department sued one of the 3 companies making these kits, and they all pulled out, all I can find now is the little power adder computer things. I could care less about adding power, I just want this stupid emissions crap gone.

Searching is very difficult as this subject is very diverse and has a large history, so it's difficult to weed out what I'm looking for, today.

last I heard, one of the companies was going to go back into selling the full boat real kits from the Middle east or Canada or something, but I can't seem to find anything.

My trucks been in twice now in the last 10,000mi (has 34k on it) for stupid dirty emissions sensors. Is there anyway to do the full delete today?

what I heard is federal epa shut down all programmer sales that would remove/delete/turn off computer functions.

unless you find a pre-ban controller unit or full custom something its good luck these days .

my buddy has a h&s and loves it and his is pre ban . he did the deletes and got a good power gain and fuel mileage gain also . but was smart and saved all his stuff just in case

Well, you can get the programmer still, and then find the "software" for the programmers in various places online. Trouble is, most of that software was year model specific, all the OEM's changed the encryption, method..etc..tec..used to 'flash', plus every year there were slight changes to the engine that software had to account for. While one software file for the programmer would do all years supported, they had to support your year and it typically took them about 1 to 1.5years after a new model year to come out with support for that model year.
That all stopped in late 2012, but they didn't yet have any 2012 MY flash's out there yet. So, none of that is any good to me. Plus, when you dig into the dirty litle details of what those things were actually doing, it wasn't very good. THey can't decrypt what was on your ECM for your truck. But they were iguring it out, or quite possible just paying someone to give them a baseline OEM software and changing it. ONce you flashed it, you were kinda scrwed, you can't go back. And they discounted alot of drivablity things. Like most aftermarket stuff, tuned for a sunny 80 degree California day. Lots of reports of those tuners having massive drivability issues in cold temps, high altitudes, high humidity, etc. And, they didn't have any software (I called them) to support the manual tranny version of the engine tune, but said, the automatic tune on it works just fine. Oh yeah, I'm sure it does.

I know, everyone says it, removing the EGR, DPF puts in the 20-22mpg range from the dismal 14-17 I get now, way better for the engine, no blowing soot laden exhaust down your intake, no dirty oil, save 50lbs of crap, multiple sensors, cleanings of turbo and EGR you don't have to do anymore.
The entire emissions system is a nightmare.

Sometimes I think about buying a 5.9 12 valve and swapping. Sad state of affairs when your thinking about putting an old engine in a new expensive truck. Truck itself is awesome, solid front axle, manual tranny, manual 4x4 shift, rubber floors, long bed, crew cab. Drives nice, quiet, pulls like a monster. I know there's a good engine under all that crap somewhere, the 6.7 is a good engine, it's the emissions system that kills it.

I can't believe no one makes a fooler kit. Seems to me that would be the best route, pulg foolers into the loose electric sensor plugs after you physically remove all the BS. It won't go into regen unless there's a pressure difference and EGR will think it's working when it's unplugged and removed. And, no computer flash required, so you'd have to have a smart tech to find how ofter it regen'd to tell you something's off, if you did want to maintain warranty. Right now, the warranty is for the stupid emissions system, the engine itself is bulletproof. I may try to enlist the help of my EE friend to see if I can make my own fooler kit, at least see how it works. I dunno, have to do something, it's just not sustainable long term, popping emissions codes constantly, dirty everything from oil to pre-exhaust to turbo...long term, that engine is a nightmare with the emissions system.
Fooler kit was readily available within months of the T56 transmissions arrival in corvettes, camaros, GTO's (I have an '04 GTO). T56 manual trans had a stupid skip shift solenoid screwed in the side of it, forcing a 1->4 shift under certain conditions (low accell) to keep them from gaining gas guzzler $3000 extra tax cost. Simple couple of resistors in a weatherpack plug that someone figured out, it needs this feedback signal to tell the computer it's working, when you've disconnected it.

I just wonder what the heck these people think. What's the environmental cost of 5-8mpg less. Less longevity, Cummins had the 5.9 at at 425 or 450 officail service life. The 6.7 is 275k. Constantly having to drive it to the dealer, drive around parts for it. Environmentalist idiots never think of those costs. Oh my, look at the black smoke coming from 2% of teh vehicles, we must do something about that! Sometimes It think perhaps the power adder crowd had a play in it, if they weren't doing those stupid power add's that are completely unnecessary and on engine in this class, blowing pitch black smoke at people behind them, sometimes I think none of this would have come down on the diesel.

The problem is that it is federal law, just like removing a cat on a car. Tampering with any emissions control system carries hefty fines, and honestly I'm surprised it took as long as it did for the EPA to shut it down. That being said, there is very little overall benefit to it since something like 50-60% of car sales in Europe are diesel, and they don't have any of the emissions crap like we do.

Get ahold of a trusted shop like fleece performance. They will be able to hook you up. There are ways to do it, people are doing it everyday
