Has anyone tried putting an older 12V Cummins into one of the old military blazers? What are some of the problems I might run into? I know the TH400 came behind the Cummins in some of the delivery vans from Chevy so that shouldn't be an issue and Painless makes a wire harness for them. Would a built TH400 handle the 24V Cummins? I'm just curious since this is something I want to try after I get rid of my 87 1/2ton.

It's been discussed; some of the breadvans came with a 4BT and some variety of Chebby tranny. (I thought it was an NV4500, but maybe it was a TH400...) Searching on "4BT" and "breadvan" oughta come up with something fun...

There were 400's behind the 4bt's I don't believe there was ever one behind a 6bt though (not sure, just never heard of or seen one).

There was a build thread recently, with a 12v going into a k5, I'll see if I can find it.
