Cummins to 4L80E

It's not the HP, it's the torque. That and heat are what destroy automatics. A 400-500HP Cummins is probably making 800+lb/ft of torque. That's a pretty tall order for a 4L80E. There is a difference between "handling" the torque and giving a decent service life...

There is no doubt my Bowtie 4l80 could handle it. You think the 47re or other autos Dodge has put behind the Cummins is even as good as a stock 4l80?
