Custom 208 Pictures

Since there was a small discussion on SYE on 208's, might as well post pics of the one I have.

Just a quick history on this though.

Chaz88K5 had this built and ran it for awhile until he decided to become a wuss and went with a stick shift./forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

He sold it to some guy and I bought it off that guy (Chaz picked it up for me /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif) and now it sits in the garage waiting on the suspension to be done on the Stock Wannabe Prerunner K5.

its not a kit . its custom built using dodge parts . ive done 2 like that so far .

What does having the xfer case setup like that net you? I don't quite get it....I'm a little slow on the take up tonight. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It makes the case shorter, giving you more length to the axle and thus shallower driveshaft angles. Also, you can remove the rear shaft without oil spilling out all over the place (and drive home on front wheel drive if there's a problem). There may be other benefits.

Oh, ok! That makes sense now. I thought it looked shorter in the pics, but couldn't really tell. Thanks for the info. Sorry for jacking the post.

We need a write-up! Or just a parts list and basic instructions.
Is this a bolt-up, or is there machining/cutting/drilling involved?

I believe High Angle makes a kit for the 241 not sure if the 208 would be the same. Another advantage is driveline brake for those of us that don't run caddy calipers.

This is a 205, but IIRC they do make one for the 241 (couldn't find a pic)

and the 231
