Custom bumper made!!!! check the pictures

So if I pimp my DIY4X shackle flip, I need to buy a vendor membership:confused:

Nope, because DIY4X is a paying vendor here and has been for a long time. The CK5 vendors help directly support the site.
I actually meant for the guy who "wants to sell more" to buy a vendor membership NOT caddy01.

I figured that`s what you meant, but since the guy who "wants to sell more" isn`t a member here, that comment was irrelevant. Thats like me saying I know a local tire place, that is good, and wants to sell more, so I give people the contact info. Are they required to have a vender membership here too?

The tire example is does not fit in this discussion. A tire is a general/generic item that all vehicles use. A K5 bumper is a specific product and my comment is relevant. If he wants to sell more K5 bumpers, where else could he find a large base of possible customers? CK5, if this is true, he was specifically speaking of selling more on CK5. And if that's the case he would need to buy a membership if he's going to pimp his wear.

Now to use my statement in context without putting a spin on it, the more paying vendors and members this site has and the more level competition there is here, the better it will be.

I feel its the same idea. If it wasn`t tires, it would be something else. U bolts for example, or a local sheet metal place that sells GM panels. Either way, same deal..

I agree 100%, just trying to get my point across. Not often I get into it with people here. Can we just say I won this one?:D:rolleyes:

We can agree that you are 100% pia!:D

Spending $500 doesn't fix this.

yeah, i was wondering what the deal was with all the weld spots.. you can see every one of them, is it not painted yet???

Personally, I think it looks like a beginner made that bumper. That thing is in too many pieces for that kind of money. $200 tops.

Im lost as well....the bumper isnt painted yet and as you see a lot of spots what he did was weld then grinded it down he wanted it to look clean so when you paint it you dont see all the welded spots....:doah:

What he`s pointing out is all the weld spots. On a well made bumper, there shouldn`t be nearly as many welds, which means he used alot of pieces to make it. Most fabricators would be able to do that bumper in I`d guess 5 lengths. Those welds on the stinger look like they got pretty hot. I`m no welding expert, so don`t take it like I am, is that supposed to look like that?

So, then, places like LMC Truck, The Truck Shop or Summitt Racing and the like, need to be paying vendors here since everybody and their mother suggest them to their sites to purchase parts for their Chevy trucks and K5s? DPI, I understand what you are trying to get across but unless the bumper fab guy was on here with the same mention of selling his chit then you'd have a point. Craig A. can never, ever mention his place of employment again unless Summitt is a paying vendor. Got it Craig!!!!!!!!!:D:haha:

Glad I`m not the only one who took his comment the way I did. YES!:D:rolleyes:

he only has a bender that can bend 1 to 1 3/4 tubbin so he couldnt do close bending or something i dont know thast why there is so many welds i guess.

I don't think he's pointing out the welds itself. I think he's poitning out how the person welded it. Well the first welds are a given. I don't see any way past welding them unless you have pipe that comes out in four different directions. The smaller set of circles that he points out i just don't see anything...If he was pointing out welds he woulda mentioned the ones directly beneath the bowtie on both tubes or the one under the right headlight..(our right)

All IMO so if i'm wrong just don't read this ;)

Its hard to explain so I'll give this a try. The two center circled spots on each side are not even. One side is higher than the other at the welds. Then the two outside circled spots are the same. If you look at the headlights you can tell that they are not the same. I would say that the truck is just off-center on the frame but the center spots are vertically different.

:thinking::thinking: Interesting...

my frame on the left side was bent a very tiny bit cause on the previous bumper and also the last person i bought the truck off of had a tiny fender bender
