does anybody out there make aftermarket crossmembers for 205s or any kind of isolator or something that will help with the weight hang-over the 205 has past the adaptor?? the only thing i found was NWFab use to make a 205 isolator but not anymore (and it looked sweet) to bad so anything??? any help would be great, thanks!

What's your setup, and what are you planning to fix/improve with a custom crossmember? With the factory setup on most 205 applications, the iron adapter that bolts directly to the tcase is also the mount, and hangover weight simply isn't an issue. You said you don't have a doubler, are you running a non-factory trans/tcase combo?

i have an 81 1500 sub it had a 350/th350/208 i am changing the 208 to a 205 also now running d60/14blt basicaly trying to do a full 1ton conv. so i was just going to buy a factory 205 crossmember when i get the adaptor i need but doesnt the crossmember just go under the adaptor between the trans/tcase at least thats what i pictured in my head and if that is the case that just seemed like a lot of weight hanging out there past that crossmember??

The stock set up with 205s have a long rod that bolts to the pass side of the case and goes forward and bolts to the lowest bolt on the bell housing. Comprenda?
