Okay so im working on installing my diy4x dash, and i am curious about a few things. What do you guys that have installed this dash used to install your stereo? do you just order a generic mounting kit?

Secondly, for turn signal and high beam indicator lights, do you guys just use LED diodes?

And finally, where is a good place to get a toggle switch, i want a quality metal switch that wont break in a short period of time.

I never installed a stereo in mine.

I used little LEDs for turn and high beam. You can get the wiring diagram for the factory dash plug and figure out which wires to jump from. I believe the LEDs either came from 12voltguy or Delcity.

Good sources for switches and all things electrical: delcity.net waytekwire.com

For the radio, I just used a universal install kit with an outer bezel. Screwed it down, done.

LEDs are at RadioShack, Fry's, etc. Get the brightest ones in 12vdc. I'm running my highbeam indicator in one of my gauges, so the gauge lights up a different color. I don't like the idea of that center hole for a highbeam, would be too annoying to see while the lights are on. That hole, should be for a warning light, wired into low oil, high temp, etc setups. Stupid bright red would be perfect.

Switches, dunno. I've got a few great local places I go. Anything fancier, order online.
