Custom floor pan/tranny tunnel

Anyone ever done a custom tranny tunnel? I'd like to replace all of the floor in my Jimmy and I just kinda figure while I'm at it weld in a custom tranny tunnel. Any suggestions, comments concerns?

I have a good supply of cheap steel and a mig welder. I was just figuring of making a rectangle style tranny tunnel all the way back to the rear portion of the truck.

Diamond plate would be cool. But I would just do like you had explained, maybe instead of rectangle shaped make it sloped up one side / then straight across --- then sloped back down \. Know what I mean? /---\. My floors and stuff need to be done someday, it's just high on my list of priorities.
