Here's a few of my setup. It is similar to many others I've seen out there, aside from the two gauges in the upper right corner, and the two little rocker switches I added on the lower left.

The bezel can be obtained through LMC I think is where I bought it. I had to grind out the holes in some of them to fit the 5" gauges. Hmm.. I think I had to grind them ALL if memory serves.

are these standalone gauges? anybody have a picture of the back side of them?

Yes, they are stand alone gauges. The gauges that I used and looks like Ryoken did too are Auto Meter gauges.

(The big one's aren't really 5" ones in this photo.. These were too small so I sent em back on got the 5's)

In my setup I did surface mounting on an aluminum bezel overlay that can be purchased through LMC. Here's a link for that if you're curious--

Unfortunately, I don't really have any photos of the back side of the setup I did, but here's the concept. You can do whatever you wish, but what most people seem to do is hack up the existing gauge cluster assembly in some way to house the new gauges. Many guys also attempt to correct the angle the gauges will face at since if you surface mount them they will tend to point down a bit. I didn't care, so I just went ahead without extensive modification to try to get the angles pointing upward better.

This pic above was major overkill, I went to the trouble of using part of the existing printed circuit to keep the function of the blinkers as is instead of using nice little green LED's like you can find at your local NAPA. (I did use a blue one in the middle as you can see from the earlier finished product pics for the high beam indicator)

And here's prior to installing the bezel over the top, and running all the wiring.

For the record, since you're inquiring about this mod, I'll add my 2 cents. This was by far one of my favorite, most appreciated mods I've done on my truck. From the standpoint of how much I enjoy looking at this every time I get behind the wheel, you just can't beat it. If you decide to do this one, you certainly won't regret it.

as Mike mentioned, I too am running Autometers.. blackface Pro Comps for me.. 2 5/8's on the small stuff...

no pics of the back, but here's one of it out when I was swapping to dual volt meters...

don't have permission to open the photos... need to get membership but short on money at the moment :doah:

Right about 700 for the gages. The air fuel ratio gage was 240 or so by itself so a big part of the cost was there.

i like the look of the three underneath.. really nice man! :waytogo:

I agree. This is a really sharp alternative to the two large 5" gauges. I really like the way everyone has routed their wiring out back of the gauges with their custom harness too, some really great setups guys!

That's all that I make day in and day out. I can do it in multiple finishes, pretty much any gauge you want and can dream.

Look at my site: http://www.classicdash.com/shopping/Chevy-Truck/1973-1983/

Let me know if you need anything.

Did not see turn signals or high beam lights in any of the pics, do you not have them pre wired?

Also are the mounting holes pre drilled and countersunk for the same hardware as stock or does it require new hardware that has to sit flat and raised above the surface?
