I'm nearing the end of my build of a 87 k5 with b52 front with Dana 60 and hi crossover steer and 14 bolt in rear. Winch box up front with tube bumpers front and rear and a full tube rack with basket over cab. Just running 31.5 tires. Thinking of running Bilstein reservoir shocks but don't know which ones. Any suggestions?

Back when parts countermen still had catalogs, they could look up shocks in "the back pages" by extended & retracted lengths, and the mounting codes for both ends..not sure if that is still possible with computer listings..

To get the shocks you want you'll have to measure how long they need to be extended fully, and compressed fully, and then the right mounting code for each end --and look for ones that meet those specs..
I was able to find some air shocks for the front of a plow truck I had that way ,but that ended up not being a good solution for the sagging springs..I also found shocks that were longer than the originals on my '69 GTO ,they were topping out after I installed a coil spring spacer lift kit to fit larger tires on it..

I agree with that small of a tire, unless your going long distance with a heavy load on really rough roads a normal Bilstein will work awesome..

Right. I could see it for maybe the weight of the rig, but unless your really bombing it, I think it would be more cost effective to get a good set of 5125s and call it day. What are the suspension specs on the rig? I see you're running crossover, so I figure at least four inches of lift, right?
