I been poundering cutting the dash for a new radio I have a better then stock knob radio but thats not saying much.... I dont know if I should hide the radio in the center console or cut the dash any ideas what will be easier?Im good with installing and the wiring so thats not an issue.

If you really want to make it clean , cut the dash . All the hiding things can be made to look and fucntion right , but if you are really into using it often , you want it right where you can reach it .

Cut It!

I cut the center ac vent out and put the deck in its place. I had to route the vents differently but it wasn't too hard. It Looks much better than factory!

I was looking at making a pod up top in that same location, but that might work well for where I want to put a fold out dvd, are those rubber mats or carpet, if they are rubber where'd ya get 'em?

My opinion is just spend the money and get one that fits, but is "up to date" electronically.

Or, go get a stock tape deck (if you don't have it) get a tape adapter, and run an iPod. Never have to worry about someone breaking into the truck for a stock radio, and yo don't have to cut anything.

It's obviously a personal preference thing, I just don't like cutting the stock stuff up.
