Cut my KNUCKLES??

Just got my hi-steer on and wanted to know if it would be safe to cut/grind the old rod-end armie things off of the knuckles. I dont know much about the effects of heat or the process of casting iron. Will this compromise the strength of the knuckles?

use a saw-zall or band saw & u will be fine, i would use a flap wheel on a 4.5" angle grinder to sllick it up

DON'T use a torch - as stated, bandsaw or sawzall will be good for the cut, and the flapwheel on a grinder to clean up the rough edges when done.
