cut out doors

i was wondering if any of you guys have cut out a section of the doors i have been looking for pics but i can find any. what i was thinking is cutting them straight down the window channels angle the cuts inward a little and then straight along the flat area of the door where lower carpet panels go. any help would be appreciated and pics would be better thanks in advance.

Search for "half doors", you'll find lots here. Everybody does 'em a bit different ... I like mine, but they look funky:

muddytazz i just wanted to let you know that your doors look great I hope mine come out looking half that nice when i get done. i like your supports you added but i think im going to leave mine open so i dont need to open the door to get in thanks for putting some ideas in my head guys.
