cutting 6 to 8" off the bottom of the body

there is more bondo then i thought. so i was thinking of just cutting where the its painted black. just take it all off. from front to back. put in some square stock for the new rockers. some bumpers that go around to protect the front and back too

what do you think??? thanks

i was thinking cut it all off. put some tube or something in the rockers. boat siding, guess that could be one other way to look at it.

My front and rear is cut higher than the black paint there and to cut that much on the door you would need to boatside and cut the bottom of the door off.

chop the bottom and add metal at an angle, resulting in the bottom looking like a boat. it was really popular for a while, but i haven't seen as much about it lately. i've seen it done a few different ways. welded/bolted to frame only, body only, or both.
