Hey guys, originally I had plans to do a nice flat bed for the Beast, but I ended up spending that money on a Doubler. I was thinking of just cutting the bed half way past the rear fenderwells and using the floor to the back of the frame. My plan is to also cut the frame behind the shackle hangars and build a crossmember between the frame.

I have a bed tool box that will go in right behind the cab that will help keep the rigidity of the bed. Just wondering what you guys think?

Example: Az-K5 Matt's rig....

I would just bob the bed and maybe dovetail it. With that extra weight back there that gives you more traction, and also allows the rear suspension flex to its maximum.

If you go cutting the rear floor out I could use the left and right corner pieces at rear(gate area).

I would start by tapering and bobbing it. if thats not enough then you can go extreme. it's easy to cut off more. little more work to put it back.

"I cut it twice and it's still too short"
