I head about cutting the flange between exhaust ports on headers to make them seal better, since headers are known to warp easily. Anyone do this with positive results??

if they have sh*tty flanges from the beginning, sure.. heck, my stock exhaust manifolds have the cut... nice 3/8" flange headers, not needed...

Agreed, I had to cut a cheap set of "jegs" headers on my old small block to he the gaskets to seal. Although it also made it easier to install and remove.

I just cut 'em. :D going to sand them down and get some exhaust paint on them and check into those "soft seal" gaskets I was reading about. I also "smoothed" up the part of the header that actually touches the head, it was a lil rough. Hope to get them back on sometime this week. lol.

These were cheap hookers or heddman headers, I like them though as they fit well between frame and motor and I just put the "ball/socket" collector on them. So just trying to get as much mileage out of them as I can.

if your concerned about that surface, you should drag a flat file over em and mill em by hand as needed... i do it at work all the time...
