So, I have my new bumper (pre runner style) and the front part of the fender hangs below the bumper and it looks a lil off. So I know some of you guys trim your fenders, but is there a cleaner way than just hacking across. Has anyone ever cut 4-5 inches between the side marker light and the bottom and then grafted the bottom section up higher. So you would have the factory look at the bottom of the fender, but it would just be a lil shorter. I was thinking the marker light itself would be a good place for the graft since the light could cover up the imperfections, etc.

So, is everyone following me so far? :D

I know it would much work, but I think it would look better than just sawzawing across the bottome and leaving it. I never liked this backyard hacking (no offense to those that did it. ;) ) I just like cleaner factory look.

My truck for reference

2 ways to do it... section the lower flange up. or cut a little long and hammer/dolley a new lower flange, thats the way I'm doing my lower sections.. wheelwells, I'm sectioning..

Ive thought about cutting it a little long and then "rolling" the edges Up under, so I wouldnt have such a sharp cut line.

I forgot about the wheel well, ill have to see how that plays a role.

I just hacked the sheetmetal off and let the rocks roll it under. It's not exactly smooth, but at least some of the bondo got knocked off to lighten her up.:D
