Cutting Weight

Cut off crap you don't need like brackets and whatnot. Anything you can replace with plastic or aluminum is a bonus. The front clip of a 70s pickup easily weighs 100lbs more than an 80s pickup.

Seriously? Holy Macrel that's a good bit... What all is involeved with converting to an 80's front clip? I like the look of the 70's, but if I could save 100 lbs.. that seems like a good bit of weight.

Thanks TJ I will consider that.. You get your clutch fixed yet???

i got the master cylinder, just need to find time today and tomorrow to get it on. also going to change my oil pan, im thinking thats my oil leak.

also put some headers on that motor, get rid of the heavy manifolds. may as well take that strut brace to the tcase off, since it is broke.

Yeah I plan on working on my truck to see how much I can get done. I'm waiting till the copper gaskets come in from summit before the headers go on but that is a must if I want to go to badlands, my exhaust hangs too low. I really want to make it to the badlands on the 16th. Just with my boss flying me to CALI I dont know if I will have enough time. Weekends are the only time I can work on it. Which reminds me any CA members want to meet up let me know.
