Hey guys,
I've got a pretty basic question here. Mostly just wondering what you have done to rectify this issue. My junk is almost done and I can't wait to get it out on the trails!

78 Chevy k10 350/465/205 Corp14/D44 6in susp. lift

The rear drive shaft ended up working out alright, the front not so much. The angle is just too much for the stock CV and the drive shaft simply isn't long enough.

So I began contemplating whether to have a drive shaft built or save some dough and build one from square tubing. I know about the downsides of square tubing. Anyway, I guess my real question is what CV did you end up using? I saw that high angle drive line is selling a 42-degree CV. I'm guessing they want a nice chunk of change too.

Thanks,
Matt

The cv will limit the angle your shaft can handle and is only there to eliminate vibration.

If high angle is what you're after, ditching the cv will help.

Is there a place to order the ends of the drive shaft so I could build one and eliminate my cv?

They're called weld yokes and I get mine from a driveline place here in Denver, they are pretty much just here in CO.

Find a place that sells driveline components or builds driveshafts and they will sell you the parts.

If you build a driveshaft be sure that the slip has long enough stroke :wink1:
465 and 205 10 splines with 6" lift needs long stroke.
