Well I think my CV shafts in my 96 S10 Blazer are going to crap. I back out of my buddys driveway tonight and as i turned my wheels back straight I heard a succession of pops and one more when I started forward. Ive heard a few now and again we i start going forward with the front wheel turned. My blazer hasnt been in 4wd for at least 2 weeks though. Do my CVs free spin when I drive down the road? And does this sound like they are going bad?

The CVs are spinning as long as you're moving.
I'd replace them before they grenade. Collateral damage because you're too lazy to do it when it needs to be done sucks.
